“Flume” by Voyager

Originally by Bon Iver

Voyager is a new band out of Birmingham, Alabama that creates a sort of rustic shoegaze sound with a bedroom pop sensibility. The band, fronted by Evan Mullins, is set to release it’s stellar “Midnight Fang” EP soon (stream it at Bandcamp now), and in the meantime you can sample some of their gorgeous work on Soundcloud, including this starkly beautiful take on Bon Iver’s “Flume” (as well as a killer Lana Del Rey cover).

Cool

You’re doing it wrong. Tabasco’s most substantial quality is that it is made in the United States of America. Otherwise, it’s a bland and tired way to spice your meal. You need to also carry, at the very least, the superior-in-every-way Tapatío sauce—it’s also made in the United States of America, has a fuller flavor, and is a bargain anywhere it’s sold. What’s more, it’s made in the West, and we all know the West is the Best.

Yes — Obama’s contradicting ‘The Jesus.’ (Picks up a copy of the Bible.) And I, right now, would like to read to you what ‘The Jesus’ said about homosexuality. (Beat.) I’d like to, but he never said anything about it.
STEPHEN COLBERT, on a Christian pastor’s claim that by supporting marriage equality, President Obama is “contradict(ing) the Jesus that he says he follows,” on The Colbert Report (via inothernews)

Love it!

“Seems like IKEA are really shaking things up this year. In addition to the previously announced TV set, they’re also going to release a digital camera made of cardboard called Knäppa (“Snap”). It’ll hold 40 photographs at a time and plugs directly into your USB port. While it’s not the prettiest camera the world has ever seen, I do love the idea of a screen-less digital camera that brings people back to the wait-and-see days of film.” - ckck

Do want.

Cool.
